Our Vision

Sullivan staff and parents envision a school where all children learn and reach academic proficiency.  The vision of James J. Sullivan Elementary School is to create a safe and nurturing environment where students achieve academic proficiency through exemplary teaching that includes differentiation, data driven instruction, and collaboration with their colleagues.  Our parents are our partners who support their children, the school and the community.  Our students come to school to learn and prepare themselves to succeed in the future as leaders and productive citizens. Our administrators value all stakeholders and the cultural diversity of our school.

We believe that students differ in their needs, interests, abilities, and learning styles. We are committed to providing our students with the individualized instruction and attention they need and deserve to flourish both as students and individuals in our society.  As such, Sullivan strives to provide an educational program that enables all students to maximize their potential in a variety of settings. The mission of James J. Sullivan School is to educate our students to become better readers, writers, thinkers, problem-solvers, and life-long learners in alignment with the state and national standards.
