Message from the principal
I would like to welcome you to the upcoming school year. The adventure we are about to begin will be exciting, demanding, and fulfilling. As your principal, I look forward to working with you, and the Sullivan faculty to create an environment your child will find educational and exciting.
My goal is to help our students, staff, parents and community to begin and continue the formal process of education. Your child will be encouraged to learn in a safe and dynamic educational setting. They will learn to trust and interact with other children and adults. Common Core State Standards hold us accountable, and the staff is prepared.
It is your responsibility to have your child arrive at school on time and ready to learn. A happy, well-rested child is better prepared to meet the exciting challenges of school each day. Your active participation in the education process greatly benefits your child and our school. Read to your child as often as possible. Help them with their homework each night. Sign and return all letters, forms, notes, etc. in your child’s homework book everyday. Share their daily experiences, including notices and written work. Let them know that their learning is valued and wonderful. This private sharing time will be most rewarding for both of you.
Our school will strive to provide a stimulating and academic experience. Our school environment will be structured, so that each child can achieve to his/her highest potential in a safe, comfortable atmosphere. Understanding that each child is unique, the faculty and I will do our best to make sure that each student develops academically, socially, and emotionally. We accept this responsibility with great commitment, dedication, and joy!
If at any time you feel the need to speak with me, please contact the Main Office. I look forward to meeting and working with you and your child during the upcoming school year. Thank you for your cooperation and support!
Let’s make this year our best, yet!
